But I don't think that being friendly and being trustworthy are the same thing. I can be friendly to someone without trusting them. I can smile and say hello without letting my guard down.

There are also a lot of good people in the world, and I think we should be friendly to them. Why not? It feels good to be friendly, and it might even make someone's day a little brighter. 

So if you're friendly by nature, don't let anyone tell you to change that. Just be careful who you trust, and don't let your guard down around everyone. There's nothing wrong with being friendly.
